Dr. Lauren Carroll MD, MBA is a physician executive, speaker, and wellness expert. She has provided comprehensive healthcare and support services to the community of metro Detroit, Michigan for over a decade. She has worked to combat healthcare disparities throughout her career as a physician, healthcare administrator, and community leader.  She currently serves as the Executive Medical Director of the Southeastern Michigan Health Association (SEMHA), with direct oversight of Kids Health Connections (KHC), a program of the health equity division. The mission of KHC is to empower families in Southeastern Michigan by promoting health education, building relationships, and advocating for a better quality of life. Dr. Carroll has a passion for providing care for medically underserved populations both in the United States and abroad. She has had the privilege of conducting medical and faith-based missionary work in South Africa, Haiti, Tanzania, Peru, and Jamaica. Dr. Carroll believes that every man, woman, and child deserves exceptional AND accessible healthcare no matter his or her socioeconomic background. Dr. Carroll obtained her Bachelor of Science at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan; Medical Doctorate at the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan; and Master’s degree of Business and Administration from the University of Tennessee Haslam School of Business in Knoxville, Tennessee.
